New Stamp Issues

The following Stamp Issues are currently on sale at Australia Post and are available for purchase through Wombat Lake Stamps . When these stamps are withdrawn from general circulation on the specified dates their availability will become limited as well.

Wetland Birds (Issued 2 June, 1997)
Included in this issue of a four se-tenant block are a peel and stick
booklet of 10 stamps, a stamp pack and four maximum cards.

Maritime Heritage (Issued 15 January, 1998)
From the time of the First Fleet in 1788, sailing ships were crucial
for the survival of the colony. Four stamps featuring paintings of
19th century sailing ships pay tribute to the epic role they played.

Six of Australia's greatest Olympians are featured on this issue of stamps.

This issue is notable for having the first sheetlet of twelve stamps.
