Mount Portal Lookout is on the southern side of Glenbrook Gorge and overlooks the Nepean River as it makes its way towards Emu Plains. On the opposite cliff face a commuter train is clearly visible as it heads eastward towards Lapstone Station on the main western railway line. The lookout has recently been upgraded and has been designed to allow for easy wheelchair access.
