Mamre Homestead, built in 1820, was the country residence of the Rev Samuel Marsden. Marsden was a colonial chaplain, magistrate and pastoralist, and through his experiments with Merino sheep became a pioneer in the Australian wool industry.
Presently operated by the Sisters of Mercy, the historic Georgian homestead was fully restored and tastefully decorated to provide period Tea Rooms. Surrounded by grand oaks and immaculate rose gardens, it provides an ideal location for weddings and special occasions.
