The Blue Gum Forest, nestled deep in the Grose Valley, is one of the most magnificent and beautiful sites in Australia's Blue Mountains. Situated north of Blackheath and a thousand feet below Perry"s Lookdown, this majestic stand of eucalyptus trees is a popular destination for experienced bushwalkers. The descent into the valley takes over an hour, while the return trip involving a very steep climb can take the average hiker more than 2 hours.
